Botulinum Toxin

What it is

Botulinum toxin is a medical procedure used to smooth wrinkles and expression lines and prevent the progression of dynamic wrinkles, through the controlled relaxation of the muscles responsible for their formation. The goal is to promote a natural, balanced and harmonious result, preserving facial expressiveness.

What it's for

It is primarily indicated to smooth forehead lines, frown lines between the eyebrows (glabella), periocular wrinkles ("crow's feet") and facial dynamic adjustments, such as subtle eyebrow lifting or correction of gummy smile, when clinically indicated. It may also be used in certain therapeutic situations, according to medical assessment.

How it's done

Following individualised medical evaluation and facial dynamics analysis, the product is applied through microinjections at specific points. The procedure is performed in a clinical setting, with precise technique, respecting the anatomy, symmetry and natural appearance of each face.

Recovery

As a rule, no time off daily activities is required. It is recommended to avoid massaging or pressing the treated area in the first few hours, avoid intense physical exercise on the day of treatment, and avoid exposure to excessive heat immediately (sauna or very hot baths). Specific recommendations are always provided by the doctor after the procedure.
