What it is

Scars are the result of the skin repair process following a lesion, inflammation, surgery or infection, such as acne. During this process, an alteration in the normal organisation of collagen fibres occurs, which can lead to differences in texture, relief and skin colouration. There are different types of scars, such as atrophic, hypertrophic or keloidal.

Scars

What it's for

Treatment aims to stimulate skin regeneration, reorganise collagen and progressively improve the texture and appearance of the skin. The approach varies according to the type of scar, its depth, location and time of evolution.

How it's done

It may involve different techniques and technologies, according to the type and characteristics of the scar: microneedling, laser, chemical peels, biostimulators, subcision (for atrophic scars) or other combined approaches, always defined following medical assessment.
