What it is

Stretch marks are skin changes resulting from the rupture of collagen and elastin fibres, generally associated with rapid skin stretching. They may appear at different stages of life, such as hormonal changes, accelerated growth, weight variations or pregnancy. Initially they present reddish or purplish colouration (recent stretch marks) and, over time, become whitish (old stretch marks).

Stretch Marks

What it's for

Treatment aims to stimulate skin regeneration, improve texture and attenuate the contrast with the surrounding skin. The approach varies according to the type, depth and stage of the stretch marks.

How it's done

It may involve microneedling, laser, radiofrequency, biostimulators or a combination of techniques, defined following medical assessment of the specific characteristics of the stretch marks and each patient's skin.
