What it is

Rosacea is a chronic inflammatory skin condition that mainly affects the central region of the face, characterised by persistent redness, visible vessels, skin sensitivity and, in some cases, inflammatory lesions.

Rosacea

What it's for

Rosacea treatment aims to control symptoms, reduce inflammation, decrease the visibility of vessels, and improve skin comfort and appearance, with progressive results.

How it's done

Treatment is individualised according to the subtype and severity of the condition. It may involve topical and systemic medical therapies combined with technologies such as IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) or vascular laser, which act selectively on the vessels responsible for redness.

Recovery

After laser or IPL sessions, transient redness may appear that resolves within the first few hours. The skin may remain sensitive for a few days. Rigorous sun protection and adequate hydration are recommended.

Safety & contraindications

Therapies are selected according to the rosacea subtype and clinical profile. Some approaches may not be indicated during pregnancy, breastfeeding or in very tanned skin. The indication is always confirmed in a medical consultation.
